Therapy is for everyone.

  • In-Person Therapy

In-person therapy offers a safe, comforting, and confidential environment that fosters your ability to self-explore. Being in the same room as your therapist can allow for deeper engagement, attunement, and co-regulation.

  • Online Therapy

Virtual sessions allow for more flexibility, efficiency, and timeliness. This may also be a good option for clients who lack access to quality services in their area due to too few resources or long waitlists. As long as you are currently residing in Minnesota, you may be eligible for online therapy.

  • Nature-Based Therapy

Nature promotes a perspective of gratitude and mindfulness and reduces symptoms of depression and anxiety. Moving your body in nature helps you to connect to your collective self while experiencing an increase in mood-boosting chemicals in the brain.

Payment Options

All sessions are private pay. This allows me to tailor your collective remedy to what your needs are rather than what an insurance company dictates. You may request a receipt at each payment to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement from them. I recommend contacting your insurance provider prior to scheduling an appointment to determine how much they may reimburse. Accepted forms of payment include cash, credit or debit card, and HSA. Payment can be made prior to or at the time of service.

Benefits of private pay:

  • You choose the therapist best suited to your needs rather than the insurance company telling you who you can work with.

  • Private pay clients do not require a mental health diagnosis to receive treatment. Therefore, a diagnosis is not submitted to your health records which allows you to avoid the stigma associated with some mental health diagnoses. Furthermore, you won’t be labeled with a mental health diagnosis unless you request this type of assessment.

  • There are less restrictions to the type of service and modality utilized in treatment which means you can access the type and style of treatment that suits you best.

  • No insurance means no limit on amount of sessions or time of your session. You get to choose the focus, duration, and frequency of therapy.

  • Research shows that clients who have to pay something for their treatment have more positive outcomes than those who receive free treatment.

  • Insurance premiums and life insurance policies will not increase based of mental health diagnosis and treatments. You won’t have to worry that your records will be accessible to insurance companies which could create problems for you in the future.

  • You will be able to stay with your therapist even if your insurance plan coverage changes.

Good Faith Estimate

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers are required to provide clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for health care services. This is to reduce any unexpected medical bills.

My rates are listed above, and a written estimate can be requested that includes a description of services, session fees, and diagnostic codes.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one (1) business day before your scheduled health care service. You can also ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or print your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-877-696-6775.
